Here at
Lakeside, the threats we face from our natural environment are numerous
and come in differing degrees. We've got giant snapping turles, snakes
everywhere, skunks, foxes, etc. Nothing can compare to the Hovering
Heifers gliding across the surface of the lake under a full moon. They
are NOT in a mood to be messed with, and we do not cross them.
It's not
that we fear them, (we are heavily armed, and we know where they live)
it's what's they carry in their dark hearts that all good men dread.
Their silence can be deafening, but when they come crashing down the
bank and through the underbrush, the unholy noise drives us to the only
safe haven at Lakeside; ice cold beer, and lots of it.
